Bilibo PinkFollowing the expert Bilibo-Pink reviews provided below, Bilibo.net has also included some user reviews, based on the theory that what actual users have to say is generally more relevant to buyers than what theoretical experts have to say. Nonetheless, here’s hoping that you also find the Bilibo-Pink expert reviews useful as well.

Expert Reviews: Bilibo

Prof. Reo H. Largo, Head of the Department for Growth and Development at the University Children’s Hospital Zurich, author of the books, “Babyjahre” and “Kinderjahre”:

A good toy distinguishes itself through a series of characteristics. It should be as little pre-determined as possible in order to leave much room for the child’s imagination and expressiveness. It should allow for various ways to be used. The child is then able to train its motor skills, ideally in different agility games. It uses the toy for its symbol games and builds a house for its puppets and animals.

The toy acts as accessory when playing role games and pretending with other children. And finally the toy should appeal to children at different ages and accompany them in their development over a long period of time. Bilibo distinguishes itself to a high degrees through these characteristics.

Therese Affolter, Ergotherapist, teaching pediatrics at the School for Ergotherapy in Zurich:

I like Bilibo’s simplicity, which leaves room for the child’s imagination. The shape of the shell is very beautiful, inviting the children to touch it, to experiment and play with it. Bilibo is changeable and versatile when used (container, tunnel, stone, helmet, top, see-saw, sound instrument, light-shadow, train …). Bilibo lets children realize various game ideas according to their age. Bilibo “grows” with the child so to speak. With different uses the corresponding sensory systems are stimulated (tactile, proproceptive, vestibulary, visual, auditive…).

Dr. Stevanne Auerbach “Dr. Toy,” Institute for Childhood Resources, San Francisco:

This carved seat has many possible uses and is lots of fun. It can be used both indoors and outdoors and acts as a rocker, a seat and an imaginative device that can be used for a variety of play activities. This is a product that both boys and girls will like. It can be used both by itself and can be stacked up. This is a great product for physical activity.

Baby in Bilibo PinkMarianne Obrist and Christine Baumann, kindergarten teachers:

Our children accepted the new toy with great enthusiasm and tried it out indoors and outdoors in various locations. Bilibo was used for agility games and for building or it was filled with dolls, sand, or water. We particularly like the brilliantly simple and clear shape which begs to be touched and experimented with. Weight and size of Bilibo are very pleasant. It can be used in many different playing situations or also to foster particular motor skills.

5.0 out of 5 stars Favorite Toy

This is just one of the many gifts I bought for my granddaughter’s 2nd birthday. Of all the gifts she received that day, this was her favorite. Everyone laughed when she pulled it out of the bag and people asked what it was. My daughter says that my granddaughter plays with it every day. My granddaughter spins herself around in it and then she puts her doll in and and spins her around. She and her doll take turns for at least an hour at a time. I’m going to buy another one for my house so my other grandchildren can play with it when they visit.

5.0 out of 5 stars Seems like fun

Durability:5.0 out of 5 stars Fun:5.0 out of 5 stars Educational:4.0 out of 5 stars

I bought this for my 20 month old for Christmas. I liked the idea of it. That she could grow into this toy and it doesn’t take batteries and isn’t noisy. She seemed excited about it. She likes to sit in it and put it over her head. I’ve tried to spin myself around in it cause kids don’t get to have all the fun, but too bad for me, my butt is too big.

5.0 out of 5 stars This Toy’s A Keeper

Durability:5.0 out of 5 stars Fun:5.0 out of 5 stars Educational:5.0 out of 5 stars

We got 2 of these for our children and they love them. Our 1 1/2 YO likes sitting in it, putting dollies in it, and getting spins in it from brother, and our 5 1/2 YO loves spinning it, using it as a helmet & peeking out the holes, and I’m sure it’ll eventually be used to pick up smaller toys with as well.

Daddy is looking forward to taking them outside and making snow blocks with them, during the next few weeks, as well.

I was pleasantly surprised by just how durable these things really are. They are made of a very thick plastic that seems nearly impossible to break. Although it does warn not to leave them outside over a long period of time because they will get brittle.

An overall great toy that inspires open ended/creative play, and engages children for long periods of time.

5.0 out of 5 stars Granddaughter Loves This Toy

Granddaughter is almost 5 and loves this toy. If you buy it, just be careful that if your little one stands inside it, they can fall over. Make sure there is nothing dangerous they can fall on around the toy. She loves to sit in it and twirl around; turn it over and balance herself on top of it. It’s a great toy.

5.0 out of 5 stars very pleased

My 14mth old daughter gets many different uses out of this…she sits in it, on it, carries it, puts it on her head or mine to peek through the holes. Spins her babies in it, it will allow her imagination to grow. I would recommend this product to others.
